Before You Go is a food rescue charity centered around all the tourists who visit the Glen Arbor Michigan area. Before You Go will provide collection points around the lake where people who are leaving their vacations can donate unopened non-perishable food items. Your donations will help ensure that no food goes to waste and that those in need can benefit from the excess food from tourists.

ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

This statement was last updated on [enter relevant date].
We at Before You Go are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities.

What food rescue is

Food rescue is the practice of safely retrieving edible food that would otherwise go to waste and distributing it to those in need. It aims to reduce food waste and alleviate hunger in communities.

Accessibility adjustments for food donation

We have designed our website to be accessible to all individuals, including those using assistive technologies, to ensure that everyone can participate in our food rescue efforts. Our website has been optimized for ease of use and accessibility for individuals with disabilities.

In addition to the website, we have also implemented accessibility features at our food collection points to ensure that individuals with disabilities can easily donate food items. Our collection points are designed to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges and other disabilities.

Declaration of any limitations in accessibility due to location constraints

While we strive to make our food collection points and website accessible to all, we acknowledge that there may be limitations in accessibility due to the natural environment of the collection points, such as uneven terrain or limited infrastructure. We are continuously working to address these challenges and make improvements.

Accessibility arrangements at collection points

Our food collection points are designed to be accessible to individuals with varying needs. We provide clear pathways, accessible parking, and assistance for those who require support in donating food items. We continuously assess and improve the accessibility of our collection points to ensure that everyone can contribute to our food rescue efforts.
